According to Feeding America, food insecurity is most commonly a symptom of a larger issue–a lack of financial means and access to nutritious and fresh food. One of the most effective ways for FSF to address this need, is through their Mobile Food Pantry Program. FSF’s innovative model has been the pioneer for bringing this direct service to many low-income areas. Their Mobile Food Pantry uses a “farmers market” style distribution so that individuals and families in need are able to access the fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, and bread that are so vital to maintaining a proper diet.
